No two people are alike, so our services and the attention we will give to you will be different from our other residents. We treat all our residents as individuals.
Prior to joining us we will complete a thorough assessment of your needs and discuss with you on a one-to-one basis how best we can meet your requirements and expectations.
Once you have joined us, an experienced member of staff will be assigned to you as your key contact. In this way you have someone special, who knows you well, that you can discuss things in detail with.
We are registered with CQC to provide ‘Personal Care’ for the elderly under categories (OP) and (DE). This covers:
- Full time care for elderly ladies & gentlemen who do not require the support of a qualified nurse on a daily basis, but who require assistance and personal care in their daily life (OP).
- Provide full time care for a number of elderly ladies & gentlemen who are diagnosed as having dementia (DE).
- Carer Breaks – this allows a carer to take a well earned holiday, whilst knowing that their relative is being well looked after at Winthorpe Hall.
- Convalescence breaks – Recuperation after hospital or illness.
- Day Care – This is usually 9:00 to 4:00pm and allows the family to attend appointments. This can be tailored to suit individual needs.
Personal Care Plan
All Residents will have a tailor made computerised care plan. The personal care plan is developed with your involvement after admission. It will be reviewed and updated monthly to reflect any changes and to ensure that objectives for person centred care and support are addressed. Family and close friends are encouraged to participate in the resident’s daily routine wherever appropriate and are invited to review meetings.
Visits to the Hospital
Should you feel unwell then your own doctor will be called out to attend to you and any follow–up medical treatment will be carried out by the district nurses who call at the Home on most days.

Bathing and assistance with daily personal care is part of our service. The more able residents can utilise the on-suite facilities including the en-suite showers.
